About
Date: Saturday, September 26 Time: 10am-1pm (Pacific Coast Time) Format: Zoom Ages: Adult Class Description: What distinguishes revision from other phases of poetic composition? Is revision a chronological distinction, or a different mode of engaging with our work? Our revision skills are often linked to unconscious assumptions about the writing process, and can limit our resources for honing work in progress, getting unstuck, and reentering completed pieces that might fall short of our personal standards and larger aspirations. In this craft lab, we will consider revision through multiple lenses, looking at function, sequencing, and logistical challenges. We’ll draw on texts from a variety of poets, experiment with strategies, and leave with new working definitions and approaches for our writing. LEFT MARGIN LIT'S CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: If you find that you can't take a class for which you registered, you may request a refund, less a $25 administrative fee, at least 48 hours prior to the start of the first class session. After that threshold, refunds are not possible. If a class doesn't reach its minimum enrollment, it will be cancelled, and all students will receive full refunds.
