Dates: 4 Saturdays, January 10-31 Time: 10am-12pm (Pacific Coast Time) Format: ZOOM Ages: Adult Class Description: The new year marks the perfect time to set new goals and reconnect with your writing life. This four-week generative workshop is designed to help you get into the creative headspace and get some words down on the page. Each week, you'll receive a prompt to spark a new story idea, scene, or character, and the chance to dive straight into writing. We'll spend the majority of our time together drafting, with plenty of opportunities to share, ask questions, and marvel along the way. The emphasis will be on process, not product. We'll work on silencing our inner critics and tapping into our creative wellsprings. We'll read short excerpts from other writers to use as springboards into experimentation. Our class motto: Make it first; make it better later. All levels and backgrounds welcome. Simply bring a notebook or laptop and show up! LEFT MARGIN LIT'S CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: If you find that you can't take a class for which you registered, you may request a refund, less a $25 administrative fee, at least 48 hours prior to the start of the first class session. After that threshold, refunds are not possible. If a class doesn't reach its minimum enrollment, it will be cancelled, and all students will receive full refunds.
