About
Dates: 2 Saturdays, January 31-February 7 Time: 10am-12pm (Pacific Coast Time) Format: Zoom Ages: Adult Class Description: You can write about anything and make it interesting. The trick is letting the story you tell become a story of how the persona, the "I" of the essay, grapples with, discovers, or faces the unexpected. This two-day workshop will focus on the craft of the personal essay, where you'll be invited to brainstorm and then draft original nonfiction, and then you'll receive feedback during a workshop where you can later revise what you've written. This workshop is geared toward writers new to the genre and writers working on memoirs. LEFT MARGIN LIT'S CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: If you find that you can't take a class for which you registered, you may request a refund, less a $25 administrative fee, at least 48 hours prior to the start of the first class session. After that threshold, refunds are not possible. If a class doesn't reach its minimum enrollment, it will be cancelled, and all students will receive full refunds.
