New Patterns, New Work: A Generative Poetry & Prose Lab

About

Date: Sunday, November 1st Time: 1-4pm (Pacific Coast Time) Format: In Person at Left Margin LIT Ages: Adult Class Description: What happens when you change the way you usually write? In this lively and playful three-hour workshop, poets and flash prose writers will engage with sound, images, and experiments to propel language into new territories and generate fresh drafts. We’ll explore what happens when we loosen our grip on our writing process and patterns. Focused exercises inspired by surprising experiments, visual art, and audio prompts will serve as springboards for poems and prose pieces and offer multiple opportunities to shift perspectives and take creative risks. Come ready to play, follow unexpected associations, and challenge your writing habits. Designed for both poets and flash prose writers, this workshop welcomes writers at all levels of experience. Bring curiosity and leave with pages! LEFT MARGIN LIT'S CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: If you find that you can't take a class for which you registered, you may request a refund, less a $25 administrative fee, at least 48 hours prior to the start of the first class session. After that threshold, refunds are not possible. If a class doesn't reach its minimum enrollment, it will be cancelled, and all students will receive full refunds.
