Late Summer Shorts: 10 Flash Prompts in 10 Days

About

Dates: September 8 - 17 Time: Asynchronous Format: Virtual (on Slack Platform) Ages: Adult This group offers writing inspiration and motivation in that wonderful time between summer and fall. “Flash" is just what it sounds like—you can write it in a flash. Some people call these "short-shorts" or "micro-stories.” What about prose poems? Your choice. Come write one page a day (350 words or fewer) in a supportive online community. The class is asynchronous, so you can join from any time zone and any location!   On September 8th, you’ll come up with a concrete writing goal for the following 10 days, whether it's to draft 10 short shorts, prose poems, or hybrid forms. You could even commit to 10 paragraphs of a short story or the novel you’ve been struggling to finish. Prompts will focus on different aspects of craft and voice, and are designed to challenge and motivate—and be fun.   On Slack. Sharing is optional but encouraged! LEFT MARGIN LIT'S CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: If you find that you can't take a class for which you registered, you may request a refund, less a $25 administrative fee, at least 48 hours prior to the start of the first class session. After that threshold, refunds are not possible. If a class doesn't reach its minimum enrollment, it will be cancelled, and all students will receive full refunds.
