These days, it can feel nearly impossible to carve out the time for meaningful creativity. Between the news cycle, social media, the demands of work and family, a long commute, and more, those of us who have the urge to write need to be extra vigilant about our writing time.

In a lively, supportive atmosphere, students in this course will respond to weekly prompts designed to uncover their most exciting material. Together we will brainstorm strategies for overcoming procrastination and/or the inner critic that may stop us from ever getting to the page in the first place. We will hold one another accountable and show genuine interest in one another’s writing, even if this writing is very rough and preliminary. All levels of experience are welcome.
