Recharge Your Creative Process

About

Dates: 4 Tuesdays, June 24 - July 15 (CLOSED--REGISTRATION HAS ENDED) Time: 5:30 - 7pm (Pacific Coast Time) Format: ZOOM Ages: Adult Summer marks the halfway point of the year—the perfect time to check back in with the goals you set for yourself in the new year. Yet between social obligations, trips, and the general malaise of longer days, our creative practices tend to fall by the wayside. Voices of fear (What if it's not good enough?), procrastination (I still haven’t sent that one email...), or hesitation (Why me? Why now?) creep in. This four-week workshop is designed to break through all that. Each week, we'll gather with one purpose: to put words on the page. You'll receive a generative prompt to spark a new story, scene, or character, and the chance to dive straight into writing. We'll spend the majority of our time drafting, with opportunities to share, ask questions, and marvel along the way. The emphasis here will be on process, not product. We’ll work on silencing our inner critics and tapping back into the creative wellspring. We’ll read short excerpts from other writers to use as springboards into experimentation and invention. Our class motto: Make it first—make it better later. All levels and backgrounds welcome. Simply bring a notebook or laptop and show up! LEFT MARGIN LIT'S CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: If you find that you can't take a class for which you registered, you may request a refund, less a $25 administrative fee, at least 48 hours prior to the start of the first class session. After that threshold, refunds are not possible. If a class doesn't reach its minimum enrollment, it will be cancelled, and all students will receive full refunds.
